Time to be play ‘catch up’ with American R&B records! After “Walk On By,” and the “Presenting Dionne Warwick” LP, I’m hooked and then buy my 1st Motown single, (released in Britain in ‘63 on Stateside) “Heat Wave” by Martha & The Vandellas!  I never look back and before I know it, my record collection is expanding thanks to my Saturday morning jobs at a local sweet shop and then at a record shop down the road from it on Willesden Lane!
